BIOGRAPHY

Johnny Leya is an architect and founder with Léone Drapeaud, Manuel León Fanjul of the office Traumnovelle. Traumnovelle uses architecture and fiction as analytical, critical and subversive tools to emphasize contemporary issues and dissect their resolutions. Johnny Leya is teaching at the architectural school La Cambre(ULB) and the art school Erg in which he is leading a studio called Design and Politics of the Multiplicity.

Charles Davis II is an associate professor and Director of the Architecture PhD program at UT Austin’s School of Architecture. He is the author of Building Character: The Racial Politics of Modern Architectural Style and co-editor of Race and Modern Architecture: A Critical History from the Enlightenment to the Present.

Joseph Bedford is Associate Professor of History and Theory at Virginia Tech and the founding director of the Architecture Exchange, a platform for theoretical exchange in architecture. (Moderator)
