Robin Evans
Dialogue
SUMMARY
This AE Dialogue addresses the life and work of Robin Evans. Robin Evans was a British architectural educator, studio teacher, historian, and essayist who was prolific in the 1970s and 1980s but whose life was cut short at the height of his powers in 1993, when he died aged 49. Despite such a short career, his writings and ideas have had an unusual power and influence upon the field of architecture; particularly around questions concerning architecture’s relationship to society and the role that architectural representation plays in architectural design.
