BIOGRAPHY

Joseph Godlewski is an Associate Professor of Architecture and Senior Research Associate at the Maxwell African Scholars Union at Syracuse University. He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. He is the author of The Architecture of the Bight of Biafra: Spatial Entanglements. (Routledge, 2024)

Jake Matatyaou is Director of Strategic Research at the Civilization Research Institute, a think tank focused on global risk mitigation.
Joseph Bedford is Associate Professor at Virginia Tech and the founding director of the Architecture Exchange.

André Patrão is Assistant Professor of History and Theory of the Built Environment at Emory University. His research focuses on exchanges between architects and philosophers from the early 20th century to today. His recent work tackles contemporary issues of the built environment through combinations of ethics, aesthetics, and political philosophy. (Moderator)
