BIOGRAPHY
Pier Vittorio Aureli is an Italian architect, theorist, and educator. He is a Charles Gwathmey Professor in Practice at Yale School of Architecture and teaches at the Architectural Association in London, among other institutions. Aureli co-founded the Brussels-based practice Dogma, which focuses on urban design, large-scale projects, and research by design, and has won awards such as the Iakov Chernikhov Prize. He has authored influential books including The Project of Autonomy and The Possibility of an Absolute Architecture. Aureli studied architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV) and The Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, then earned a PhD in Architecture from the Technische Universiteit Delft and a Doctorate in Urban Planning from IUAV.
