BIOGRAPHY
Johnny Leya is an architect and founder with Léone Drapeaud, Manuel León Fanjul of the office Traumnovelle. Traumnovelle uses architecture and fiction as analytical, critical and subversive tools to emphasize contemporary issues and dissect their resolutions. Johnny Leya is teaching at the architectural school La Cambre(ULB) and the art school Erg in which he is leading a studio called Design and Politics of the Multiplicity.
Lara Schrijver is professor in architecture theory at the University of Antwerp. She has published widely on twentieth-century architecture and its theories. Her recent books include Oswald Mathias Ungers and Rem Koolhaas (2021) and the co-edited volume Women in Architecture. (2023)
Frederike Lausch is an architectural historian and co-founder of the Center for Critical Studies in Architecture (CCSA). Her research examines the political implications of 20th-century architectural discourses. She is currently focused on the Communication Centre of Scientific Knowledge for Self-Reliance and the intersection of ecological thinking and development politics in the 1970s and 1980s.
Joseph Bedford is Associate Professor of History and Theory at Virginia Tech and the founding director of the Architecture Exchange, a platform for theoretical exchange in architecture. (Moderator)
