This interview traced Graham’s intellectual biography alongside the development of his philosophy. He discussed the evolution of his career and the circumstances surrounding his institutional move into architecture. The conversation focused on his studies at St. John’s College and its “Great Books” curriculum, as well as how he now brings a similarly broad liberal arts approach to teaching architects at SCI-Arc. Graham also described the movement of his work toward an emerging theory of architecture and some of the central ideas with which he continues to wrestle.
