BIOGRAPHY

Ashley Bigham is an associate professor at the Knowlton School of Architecture and co-director of Outpost Office. Ashley’s creative work and writing engage architecture through a study of consumption and domesticity, focusing on architecture’s entanglement with the production and fulfillment of consumer desire. She is the editor of Fulfilled: Architecture, Excess, and Desire.

Jaffer Kolb is a co-founder of the New York-based architecture studio New Affiliates and on faculty at MIT’s School of Architecture.

Katie MacDonald is Cofounder of After Architecture. Recent works include a memorial in Washington D.C. and installations for Exhibit Columbus, the Oslo Architecture Triennale, and the Knoxville Museum of Art. MacDonald is Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia, where she co-directs the Before Building Laboratory, leading material research.

Joseph Bedford is Associate Professor of History and Theory at Virginia Tech and the founding director of the Architecture Exchange, a platform for theoretical exchange in architecture (Moderator)
